Worship at First Baptist Church is seldom exactly the same twice.  We gather each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. for our Celebration Service.

Depending on the Sunday, you may experience the following:

  • Praise Choruses, Hymns of the Church;
  • Congregational Prayer, Responsive or Unison Prayer;
  • one of our several Handbell Choirs, the Chancel Choir, a Children’s Choir, or a Musical Ensemble;
  • our combination Pipe – Electric Organ, Piano, Guitar, Flute or Violin;
  •  a Children’s Message, Preaching from the pulpit or center of the chancel;
  •  Holy Communion by intinction or passed by pews; Baptism or a Baby Dedication;
  •  Overhead video projection; a Drama team;
  •  Worship leaders, including Pastors and Choir, in Robes, Suits, or Business Casual.

The goal of our worship time is to lead those who gather into an encounter with God, present the Good News, and offer opportunities throughout worship for our response to God’s revelation.

revisionRevision is the name we’ve given our more informal and participatory times of worship at FBC.  A typical Revision Service includes contemporary Christian music, drama, video, Scripture and reflection and meets in our Fellowship Hall.
