Life at FBC

First Baptist Church is an active and vibrant congregation.  Our congregational life includes opportunities of spiritual growth and service for all ages.  We believe discipleship is about coming to know Jesus Christ, becoming more like Him, and being sent in His name in service to others.

We invite you to consider how you might become part of life at First Baptist.

New Opportunities

50 Days of Transformation

A church-wide worship and study emphasis called "50 Days of Transformation: How God Changes Us" begins Sunday, Sept. 13th and continues through October.  The emphasis has three main components: 1) A Sunday morning worship focus (Sundays - Sept. 13th through Oct. 25th), 2) A 7-week small group opportunity, and 3) An individual devotional workbook resource.

Sign-ups for small groups and devotional workbooks will begin on Sunday, August 23rd and run through Sept. 6th.

A listing of the Sunday morning topics can be found here or through the drop down menu under the "Transformed" tab.

Please be praying about how you will be part of this 7 week emphasis and join us in making it a priority this Fall as we practice our faith together.

SEEDS of Love 5K

September 19th is the date for this year's SEEDS of Love 5K.  This run/walk is part of the Indiana Timing Race series and is a fund raiser for Love Chapel, a community Food Bank and Assistance ministry of the Eccumenical Assembly of Bartholomew County Churches.

Last year over $4,000 was given to Love Chapel through donations and registrations.  Our goal in 2015 is to increase that to at least $5,000. It's time to sign up, online or by sending in a registration form, and be part of this fun event!
